THE HEART ACTOR
IN A NUTSHELL: You aren't afraid to connect to your emotions and express them, this is such a good quality, but the emotions aren't always controlled and often end up very big (this can get very close to hammy - overdramatic - acting).
Strengths: You feel deeply and are able to connect to your emotions quickly. You throw yourself into scenes, often with very few inhibitions and have a lot of energy which you use by expressing the emotions in a larger than life way.
BLINDSPOTS: The emotions aren't always justified and can end up very big, chaotic and out of control meaning your emotional work doesn't always make sense to the audience. This can lead to you feeling very tired after scenes, and even with a sore throat because of how much energy you're using. Your scenes can become very ungrounded.
How to overcome this:
Before starting any scene work, you must understand where the emotions are coming from in the character - either a place of desire or resistance, to be able to justify them in the scene.
Once you understand this, you must then practice getting grounded and present so you can connect truthfully to your emotions, allowing them to be controlled.
